Think this presidential election year, 2016, is nutty? This play is a raucous dark comedy about the state of modern political discourse, modern relationships and how easy it is to believe truths without facts. A laugh-out-loud night at the theatre that will shine a little perspective on the current political campaigns.

THE TOTALITARIANS, starring Barbara Chisholm, is a hilarious new comedy about right and wrong, sex and success, truth and the lies we choose to believe.

Francine, the ambitious speechwriter for a rich housewife’s vanity campaign for public office, has stumbled upon pure gold: a perfectly patriotic slogan. Even though it is totally meaningless and her doctor husband disapproves, Francine quickly realizes that with this slogan, she can turn the campaign around and make her unpredictable, gaffe-prone candidate electrifyingly powerful—and finally, just maybe, get herself out of Nebraska.
