The 47-Hour Improv Marathon
by Hideout Theatre

Jun. 17 - Jun. 19, 2016
Friday-Sunday

The Hideout Theatre is about to embark on its EIGHTH improv marathon. This year, eight brave improvisors will perform for 47 hours straight, all the while raising money for The Hideout's Kids Improv Scholarship Program

The 47-Hour Improv Marathon will start at 5:00 pm Friday, June 17 and go until 4:00 pm Sunday, June 19. While the eight core improvisors will perform the entire 47 hours, a new show with fresh performers will be performed almost every hour to keep the core marathoners awake and on their toes.

The Hideout Improv Marathon began in 2009 as the 40-Hour Improv Marathon and has occurred every year since, increasing by one hour every year. The Hideout Improv Marathon was awarded an Austin Critics Table award in 2010.

The Core Eight Improvisors are Ace Manning, Caitlin Sweetlamb, Chuy Zarate, Jeremy Sweetlamb, Jessica Arjet, Katie Hartman (from NYC), Rachel Austin, and Ryan Hill. Plus Tosin Awofeso will be playing keyboards for most of the shows.
