Secrets of a Soccer Mom
by AtticRep

Apr. 06 - Apr. 17, 2016

Three engaging women reluctantly take the field in a mothers vs. sons soccer game, intending to let the children win. But as the game unfolds, these soccer moms turn from sideline supporters into fierce competitors intent on scoring. A visceral contest reveals the characters’ desire to reignite the good humor, independence and sexuality of their youth, before the responsibilities of motherhood took over. Secrets of a Soccer Mom questions the culture of sitcoms, mommy blogs and marketing platitudes, and forges a salute, a confession, and a call to action.

Featuring Anna De Luna, Maggie Tonra & Georgette Lockwood.

“Let’s hear it for Soccer Moms, a diverting comedy with a slick style and attention, holding crisp dialogue.”-The New York Times

“A sympathetic and compelling comedy with constant laughs.” – Variety

Playwright Kathleen Clark’s comedy features three women at various points in their lives — one is in her mid-20s, one is in her mid-30s and one is in her mid-40s — who are dealing with a range of issues. The show touches on women’s self-esteem, sex lives and larger cultural matters.
