The Threepenny Opera
by Trinity University

Nov. 13 - Nov. 21, 2015
Thursdays-Saturdays

Threepenny Opera overturned sentimental operatic conventions and revolutionized musical theater when it premiered in 1928. Drawing from jazz in Berlin nightclubs and inspiring dark meta-musicals from Cabaret to Chicago, Sweeney Todd, and Urinetown this "opera by and for beggars" is both a transformative classic and shockingly relevant today.

by Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill, directed by Kyle Gillette, music direction by Jim Worman
