Heiress to her father's underwear fortune, Hypatia is engaged to the perfectly acceptable but astoundingly dull Bently Summerhays. Bored beyond measure, she longs for adventure to fall out of the sky. But what are the odds on a lazy Sunday afternoon in Surrey in 1909? Lucky Hypatia has Shaw on her side, so things are looking up indeed.
