Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog is a musical tragicomedy miniseries in three acts, which tells the story of Dr. Horrible, an aspiring supervillain; Captain Hammer, his nemesis; and Penny, their mutual love interest. The musical was written by writer/director Joss Whedon, his brothers Zack Whedon (a television writer) and Jed Whedon (a composer), and actress Maurissa Tancharoen. The team wrote the musical during the WGA writers' strike.
Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog was originally produced for internet distribution. The play was adapted for the stage by Pineapple-Shaped Lamps. All your favorite songs are included, as well as songs from the commentary track.

In this darkly comedic musical, we follow the story of Doctor Horrible, a wanna-be supervillain with a PhD in Horribleness. Armed with a sinister plan to take over the world and win the heart of the girl of his dreams, Penny, Doctor Horrible faces off against the charmingly inept superhero, Captain Hammer. As Doctor Horrible grapples with his own desires and ambitions, he uncovers the true cost of villainy and heroism. With memorable songs and sharp wit, this performance will be a hit with both longtime fans and newcomers alike!
