Thornton Wilder’s Pulitzer-Prize-winning tribute to human endurance; the dreamlike story of the play is told through biblical allegory, historical metaphor and cartoonish satire. The Earth’s past and future come crashing into the present as one family struggles and triumphs continuously through disasters both natural and man-made. In this world, science and religion are not mutually exclusive, but instead work together to give us a window through which we see our humanity.
