Foot in the Door Theatre presents "Servant of Two Masters"

written by Carlo Goldoni, translated by Edward J. Dent, directed by Brenna Larkin and Jessica Starich

Servant of Two Masters is the story of two young lovers on a mission to find each other. Their efforts are hindered by circumstances, lies, and one bumbling servant. This play has everything: bread, deceit, intrigue, sword fights, bread, five course dinners, slapstick comedy, bread, ladies who tell it like it is, and most importantly, bread!

Dressed as her recently deceased brother, our heroine Beatrice has just traveled across Italy to locate her exiled lover. On the way, she employs a servant, a bumbling fool whose main concern is his next meal. When presented with the opportunity to take another master- and therefore receive another dinner- he jumps at the chance. If he wants to keep the charade going, he must keep his two masters apart. The only trouble is, his other master turns out to be the man Beatrice has been seeking all along!
