Present Company, in partnership with Whole Foods Market, presents the second annual SHAKESPEARE AT THE MARKET: LOVE’S LABOUR’S LOST on the rooftop of the downtown Austin Whole Foods Market. 


Present Company's innovative performance style engages all ages, and SHAKESPEARE AT THE MARKET has become a must-do community event: guests arrive early with picnics to enjoy live music and an entertaining and educational pre-show, and settle in on the rooftop to experience a professional production by some of Austin's finest performers.

Directed by Present Company Artistic Director, Stephanie Carll, Love’s Labour’s Lost features a set designed by Ia Enstera, costumes by Liza Feldkamp, lighting by Steven Shirey, live percussion by Michael Bahan, and the talents of: Sergio Alvarado, Nicholas Kier, Mateo Barrera, Dan Dalbout, Lucas Howland, Rene Fulton, Rebecca Pearcy, Jessica Hughes, Taylor Flanigan, Reagan Tankersley, Victoria Harrison, Eva McQuade, Anne Hulsman, Craig Kanne, Saige Hilton, and Weldon Philips. 

Present Company is a non-profit theatre collective sponsored by the Austin Creative Alliance. Founded in 2010, Present Company aims to produce accessible, vital, and immediate theatre of the past, present and future, in unexpected ways and unexpected places throughout Austin. The creators of the magical SHAKESPEARE ON THE FARM series at Rain Lily Farm and the recent smash hit Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Present Company strives to make moving theatrical art that broadens our hearts and minds, and helps to sustain the cultural community of Austin.

Performances run April 17th-May 10th, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings. Seating (and music!) begins at 6:30 for a 7pm performance. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or short chair, and grab picnic goodies from Whole Foods before the show. Promoting the philosophy of “accessible & sustainable art,” SHAKESPEARE AT THE MARKET is a FREE event, however a $15-20 donation is suggested for guests able to support.
