Into The Woods
by Austin Jewish Repertory Theatre
Nov. 04 - Jun. 22, 2015
Wednesday-Sunday
In partnership with the Trinity Street Players
Directed by Adam Roberts; assistant directed by Amy Downing.
Five time Tony awarding winning musical Into the Woods is coming to Trinity Street Players fall of 2015! Watch Brothers Grimm’s fairy tale characters interacting with one another and exploring the consequences of their wishes. This beautiful musical about telling stories exhibits storytelling at its finest with lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine. Hear the story of "how it all happened,” and journey with us into the woods!
Michael Ferstenfeld joins TSP & the AJRT for the first time as The Baker! Joining him in his bakery, and eventually in the woods is Ryan Smith as the Baker's Wife. TSP alum Ann Pittman and Sarah Zeringue play the wicked Witch and the lovely Cinderella respectively, and the charmingly handsome Leslie Hethcox plays Cinderella's Prince (in addition to the big bad wolf chasing Little Red Riding Hood, played by Samantha Bagdon). That fair beauty in a tower, Rapunzel, will be played by Taylor Moessinger, and the prince who asks her to let her hair down is Travis Gaudin. The beanstalk climbing boy, Jack, is played by Keith Gruber and his desperate and despairing mother is Ginger Young. Other mysterious men, tree nymphs, wicked stepsisters and more are played by Sue Bilich, Milaka Falk, Rick Felkins, Carl Gonzales, Amie King, Kristin DeGroot, Tiana Stuart, and Ryan Wilson!
