Dracula (adapted by Dietz)
by Different Stages

Nov. 20 - Dec. 12, 2015

This new adaptation by Steven Dietz restores the suspense and seduction of Bram Stoker's classic novel to the stage. As Count Dracula begins to exert his will upon the residents of London, they try to piece together the clues of his appearances -in a valiant attempt to save themselves from a hideous fate. Rich with both humor and horror, this play paints a wickedly theatrical picture of Stoker's famous vampire.

"The dead travel fast."

Different Stages opens its 2015-2016 season with Dracula by Steven Dietz from the novel by Bram Stoker. An ominous presence haunts Lucy Seward’s dreams. They are right to be afraid. Count Dracula has arrived in England. As their loved ones fall victim, a determined group led by Professor Van Helsing hunts the Count through the length of England and back to his castle in Transylvania. Rich with both humor and horror, this play paints a wickedly theatrical picture of Stoker's famous vampire.
