Set in a small factory in East L.A., this powerful play follows five full-figured Latina workers as they race to meet an impossible production deadline. Amid the looming threats of deportation and societal pressures, these women confront issues of self-image and cultural identity. Real Women Have Curves is a heartfelt portrayal of the Latina immigrant experience, celebrating the beauty of real women’s bodies, the strength of female empowerment, and the unbreakable bond that forms when women come together.
