Good Diner

Fridays-Saturdays

John awoke naked in a field unable to remember who he was or how he came to be there. He fell in love with Hazel, the woman who found him, and has given up on remembering his past and focused on enjoying his present with the woman he loves. Tonight, John and Hazel are going to dinner at the Good Diner and the woman they meet there is going to awaken the memories of John’s past and change all of their lives.

“Without giving away too much, the audiences will come in expecting a love story, maybe a romantic comedy but delves into science fiction almost immediately,” says director Jessica Roberts, “They should also expect the unexpected, and you will keep wondering who’s the hero and who’s the villain as the story progresses.”

Jessica has directed several shows at the Overtime, including most recently Thea’s Window to the World. She is also the author of a couple of plays that the Overtime has done including #Cinderella, which is currently in performances, and Just Friends.

“I am very excited to put together this character driven, genre-bending show, and I’m excited for the audience’s reaction to the twist as I was when I read the script,” says Roberts.

Dedicated to providing original, innovative, and accessible entertainment at an affordable price, The Overtime Theater is a nonprofit organization with the mission of bringing “theater for the people” to the San Antonio community through new and thought-provoking stage productions.
