Written in ancient Greece around 441 BCE, Sophocles’ masterful tragedy Antigone has gripped audiences for centuries, tackling riveting and timeless themes such as:

  Reimagined on the McCallum stage as a contemporary political thriller set in a time of post-war devastation, MacTheatre’s production brings modern relevance to this ancient tale.

  Duration: 2 hours, including 15 minute intermission. Rated: 12 yrs and up."

  "MacTheatre is one of many programs in McCallum’s Fine Arts Academy. As Austin ISD’s district-wide fine arts intensive high school program, the Fine Arts Academy at McCallum High School provides an exemplary arts education program for 9th - 12th grade students to pursue an accelerated arts curriculum as fine arts majors."
