Four One-Act-Plays Vie for Honors This Weekend
The Cailloux Theater is the host venue for TEXFest 2022, the annual gathering of theater practitioners from across the state.
 
TEXFest is produced by Theater Network of Texas, and includes a variety of activities including workshops, networking opportunities, and the annual One-Act-Play Festival.
 
This year, four companies from various regions of Texas will be presenting one-hour (or less) performances which will be adjudicated for a variety of awards, including the chance to advance to perform at the South West Theater Conference in April.
 
Performances include:
  • Playhouse 2000: The Actor's Nightmare by Christopher Durang, Thursday, February 17 at 8:00. (The cast includes Brandon Newton, Katie Bishop, Heather Cunningham, Amy Goodyear, and Treston Mack as "George Spelvin." Jeffrey Brown Directed, Darcey Wagner is Stage Manager.)
  • Fort Stockton Community Theater: Rude Awakenings by Nicholas Ridley, Friday, February 18 at 4:00
  • Brazosport Center Stages: An Iliad by Denis O’Hare and Lisa Peterson, Friday, February 18 at 8:00
  • Boerne Community Theatre: Done/Undone by Kate Besworth, Saturday, February 19 at 4:00
