It’s Christmas in Brand Prairie, Texas. Jolene, unlucky in love, is the heart of everyone’s world. Her best friend, Annie, the sheriff and the rest of the folks ache to see Jolene set up in a happily ever after. To make that happen, Jolene's mother is fixin’ to sell a precious family heirloom. Two no good strangers ride into town with villainy on their minds –aimin’ to make off with the treasure AND Jolene. Oh, NO!
But it’s Christmas, y'all, and EVERYBODY'S in for a big surprise!
Warm up your boos, sighs, cheers – and popcorn throwin’ arms… Way Off Broadway Community Players presents a World Premier Christmas Special: the original holiday melodrama, “Merry Christmas, Jolene” written by local playwright Jennifer Luster and directed by Melinda Szabo.

TWO weekends only – and note our special evening times to make this pleaser even more family friendly! Fridays & Saturdays December 6 & 7 and 13 & 14 at (pay attention!) 7:30 pm. And two Sunday Matinees – December 8 and 15 – at 3 pm.
Come early! ‘Cause the shows will be preceded by a “holiday hoedown” in the lobby with right festive decorations and special holiday treats; Santa and his Missus; and photo opportunities with cast members!!!
Doors open one hour prior to performance, throwin' popcorn is complimentary.
