Filled with humor and tremendous heart, SWEAT tells the story of a group of friends who spend their lives sharing drinks, secrets, and laughs while working together on the factory floor. But when layoffs and picket lines begin to chip away at their trust, they find themselves pitted against each other in a heart-wrenching fight to stay afloat. Winner of the 2017 Pulitzer Prize, Drama.

SWEAT by Lynn Nottage runs for three weeks only at the Santa Cruz Theater, just a few blocks east of I-35 and across from Huston-Tillotson University. Doors open one half-hour before curtain.

“Keenly observed and often surprisingly funny – but ultimately heartbreaking – [SWEAT] traces the roots of a tragedy with both forensic psychological detail and embracing compassion.” ~ NY Times
