"Los Momentos Después"
ProyectoTeatro tiene el honor de invitar a la comunidad de Austin a la muestra final del taller de teatro juvenil; 14 jóvenes que llevan 2, 3, o 4 años entrenando en el arte de la actuación. Esta puesta en escena explora dos de los fenómenos naturales más catastróficos en la historia de Latinoamérica: El huracán Mitch del 98’ y el terremoto de México del 85’.
La obra inicia con un noticiero cotidiano, donde los conductores del programa navegan los desastres naturales para poder identificar las características responsables de la devastación catastrófica que se vivieron en esos instantes. Más allá del impacto físico de un huracán o un terremoto, salen a relucir circunstancias políticas y sociales que amplificaron ambos desastres a niveles imaginables. No se pierdan esta puesta en escena que fusiona el drama y la comedia para honrar la solidaridad humana en dos de los capítulos más tristes de América latina.

“The Moments After”
ProyectoTeatro has the honor of inviting the Austin Community to our youth theater’s final performance; 14 young artists that have been training and developing their stage performance skills and art awareness for over 2, 3 and 4 years. This particular performance explores the story of two of the most catastrophic natural disasters that have occurred in Latin-America’s history; Hurricane Mitch in 98’ and Mexico’s earthquake of 85’.
The play begins with a daily newscast, where the broadcasters of the program dive into these two natural disasters in order to identify the characteristics that were responsible for the catastrophic devastation that occurred at that moment. Beyond the physical impact of a hurricane or an earthquake, political and social circumstances emerge as catalysts that amplified both disasters to unimaginable levels.
Do not miss this stage performance that fuses drama and comedy in order to honor the human solidarity that took place in two of the saddest chapters in Latin America.
