Auditions for a role in Sunday in the Park with George with Austin Shakespeare on Jul 06 through Jul 07.

Seeking 8- to 12- year-old girl who is a singing actor. Must be a strong singer and be able to hold harmonies. Experience in reading music is preferred. Accompanist provided. Bring up to 32 bars in your key of any musical theatre selection. All ethnicities welcome.

Performances Thurs-Sun. Sept. 24-27 with matinees 2:30 pm on Sat and Sun at the Rollins Studio Theater, Long Center. Some pay. Non-Equity auditions only.


Rehearsals begin Mon Aug. 31 weekdays. 7-10 pm and Sat 1:30-5:30; Sun 5-9 pm.


Roles of George, Dot, Mother (Greg Holt/Kara Bliss/Linda Nenno) are already cast. All other roles are open.


Full score and script will be performed with orchestra in costume without sets or props.


Stage Director: Ann Ciccolella has directed concert versions of Sondheim’s Passion, Merrily We Roll Along as well as a fully staged A Little Night Music. Ann has served as Artistic Director for Austin Shakespeare since 2007, directing Free Shakespeare in Zilker Park as well as professional Actors Equity union productions at the Long Center’s Rollins Theater and brought an Off-Broadway production to New York in 2013. 


Music Director: Austin Haller is a conductor, pianist, and vocal coach who is frequently heard with Conspirare, Texas Choral Consort, Austin Cabaret Theatre, and throughout Central Texas. He has been called “always remarkable” (Austin Chronicle), and has served as music director of many regional theatre productions, receiving Austin Critics’ Table and B. Iden Payne nominations.
