f you're young-ish looking and want to audition for Austin Playhouse, well have I got just what you're looking for.

Austin Playhouse is holding auditions for The Real Thing by Tom Stoppard on Saturday, August 22. The play will be directed by Don Toner. Performances are September 18 - October 11. Thursday - Saturday at 8pm, Sunday at 5pm. All actors are compensated. AEA and non-AEA welcome. Auditions will consist of readings from the script.

Roles available:


Billy: early 20's: young actor who plays Giovanni across from Annie's Annabella in 'Tis Pity She's a Whore. Openly desires an affair with Annie.

Debbie: 17: daughter of Charlotte and Henry, an independent, free-spirit

Brodie: 20's: soldier imprisoned for setting fire to the wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior. Annie takes him up as a cause.
