Auditions are by sign up only, for those ages 18 and up. We welcome diverse performers of any background, whether you’ve been in one of our shows, or looking to make your Wonder debut.
We are also looking for artists interested in joining Wonder Theatre’s Performance Troupe! The program is a group of individuals who rehearse and perform various shows on our main stage and for special events during the day and/or evening.
PLEASE NOTE: 2/17-2/19 time slots are full. 2/9, an additional date, has been added.
DATES: FEBRUARY 9, 17-19, 2025
Auditions are by sign up only. Performers are to sign up for a time slot on 2/9, 2/17, 2/18, or 2/19. Do not sign up for more than one time slot. If all time slots are full, we will do our best to create additional ones, but we cannot guarantee it. If you need to cancel a time slot, please email alex@wondertheatre.org.
Auditions will take place at the Wonder Theatre located at the Wonderland of the Americas, 4522 Fredericksburg Rd A90, Balcones Heights, TX 78201. At this time we are not taking video submissions.
How to Prepare:
Please prepare a song that is 16-32 bars and no longer than 2 minutes. Please bring sheet music with a vocal line and piano accompaniment; an accompanist will be provided. No tracked music, acappella singing, or guest accompanists will be allowed. After the vocal portion of the audition, there will be a dance portion. Bring dance shoes and the appropriate clothing.
Closer to the audition day, all signups will receive an audition form via email to fill out. All signups must have this form filled out by February 7. On audition day, please arrive early to sign in and ensure we have your audition form. You will be able to specify what shows you want to be considered for when you fill out the audition form.
Performers will receive a small stipend for being in the shows. All youth roles in the season will be chosen from the Wonder Academy at a later date. Please note we are a community theater and do not work with Equity contracts at this time.
Production info:
The ages listed below are approximate. Performers should be able to play and appear as those ages on stage. Gender is provided as a guide to how the character will be presented on stage. Individuals of all ethnic and cultural backgrounds are encouraged to audition.
