The Free Shakespeare in the Park show will examine Shakespeare’s look at power in Julius Caesar with a contemporary slant of women in traditionally male roles.

First-time auditioners should email auditions@austinshakespeare.org for a required appointment with send headshot and resume. Equity and non-Equity actors. Callbacks will also be that afternoon at Tapestry Studios on East Riverside.
Audition consists of actor-selected speech (1-2 min long; Shakespeare preferred) (or two contrasting speeches) memorized or can be read with familiarity. Welcoming all ethnicities and genders. Age is a matter of appearance.
Those who cannot attend can submit 1-2 min videos with “heightened language” through our website. The roles of Julius Caesar, Brutus and Mark Antony are already cast. WOMEN are encouraged to audition for all other major roles in Julius Caesar. This is for Austin Shakespeare’s free Shakespeare in Zilker Park production.
