Humorist Jean Shepherd's nostalgic memoir captures 9-year-old Ralphie Parker's determined quest for a Red Ryder BB gun in 1940s Midwest. Despite pleading with his mother, teacher, and even Santa Claus, all he hears is the ominous warning, "You'll shoot your eye out!" The story brims with iconic scenes from the beloved film, including the temperamental furnace, encounters with the school bully, and the famous tongue-on-lamppost experiment. With Ralphie's vivid fantasies and more, A Christmas Story promises to be a timeless holiday favorite on stage.

Looking for actors of all experience levels! No monologues required – auditions will consist of cold reads from the script.
