- Youngest son of Sir Rowland de Bois and younger brother of Oliver. An attractive young man who has languished without education or training.
- The oldest son of Sir Rowland de Bois. He hates his brother, Oliver, for no real reason. He eventually overcomes his hatred after Orlando saves his life. / Hopelessly melancholic, he is a faithful companion to the Duke Senior.
- Duke Senior's faithful and jolly lord. / A shepherd. Counsel to Silvius.
- An elderly former servant of Sir Rowland de Bois. He accompanies Orlando.
- The daughter of Duke Senior. Strong-willed, good-hearted, and terribly clever.
- Daughter of Duke Frederick and Rosalind's best friend. Possesses a loving heart, though is prone to get swept away by her emotions.
- A clown in Duke Frederick's court. He accompanies Celia and Rosalind, and is known for his jests and jokes. / The brother of Duke Senior, he is cruel and has a great temper. He eventually returns the dukedom to his brother, having changed his tyrannical ways.
- A professional wrestler in Duke Frederick's court. Has a caring nature and is politically savvy. / The father of Rosalind and rightful ruler of the dukedom. Makes the most with that life provides, and is kind and fair-minded.
- A young shepherd in love with Phoebe.
- A young shepherdess who disdains Silvius.
