The Magik Theatre announces open auditions for professional adult actors for their 2020-2021 season on Monday, March 16, 2020!
Because the Magik Theatre serves families and schools, actors must have daytime and weekend availability for rehearsals and performances. All actors are paid a minimum salary of $375 per week during rehearsals and performances. Casting opportunities are available for both our mainstage performances and touring company.
Audition Preparation
All actors will have a maximum of 2 minutes and should prepare material accordingly to best showcase their talent. Your two minutes can include both a song and monologue, or just monologues if you don’t sing. There are no hard and fast rules for this. Have fun with how you present your pieces. Songs need not be from the musical theater genre – pop or other non-musical options are fine as well.
Audition Materials
Please bring a headshot and resume with you to auditions.
Audition Appointments
Please email the Production Manager (rsimons@magiktheatre.org) in order to schedule an appointment on Monday, March 16th. Audition appointments are available at 1:00 pm OR 5:00 pm with the following caveat:
Singers: We will have an accompanist available only in the afternoon starting at 1:00 pm, so please specify in your email if you are singing and will need an accompanist. You may audition in the 5:00 pm slot, but should plan to either have a backing track or sing acapella.
The Magik Theatre is an equal opportunity employer and encourages performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, ages, and abilities to audition.
