She Loves Me

SHE LOVES ME is about a charming case of mistaken identity set in a 1930s European perfumery. Feuding clerks Amalia and Georg work together begrudgingly by day, and write beautiful love letters to their “secret admirers” by night. Constantly bumping heads while on the job, the sparring coworkers can’t seem to find common ground. But little do they know, the anonymous pen pals they are both falling for happen to be each other! The unlikely romance unfolds as Georg and Amalia discover the truth, but will their love continue to blossom once their identities are finally revealed?
Austin Playhouse is holding auditions for the musical SHE LOVES ME on Saturday afternoon, August 10th, 2019.
Rehearsals will be held October 28th-November 21st, 2019.
Performances are November 22-December 21st, 2019. Thursday-Saturday at 8:00, Sundays at 5:00, with a matinee on December 21st at 2:00 PM.
Director Scott Shipman. Musical Director Lyn Koenning. Equity and non-Equity welcome. All actors paid. Casting all roles.

Please prepare 16-32 bars (no more than one-and-a-half minutes long) from a song that shows range and personality and is within the style of the show. Bring clearly-marked sheet music in the correct key. An accompanist will be provided. Please do NOT sing anything from SHE LOVES ME or any pop/rock.
