The laugh-out-loud musical tells the timeless story of a recent college grad named Princeton, who moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q. He soon discovers that, although the residents seem nice, it's clear that this is not your ordinary neighborhood. Together, Princeton and his new-found friends struggle to find jobs, dates and their ever-elusive purpose in life.
Winner of the Tony "Triple Crown" for Best Musical, Best Score, and Best Book, Avenue Q is part flesh, part felt and packed with heart.
Auditions will begin promptly at 12 pm on Aug 4th and at 7 pm on Aug 5th. Auditions will consist only of singing. Actors should prepare 16-32 bars from a song appropriate to the style of one of the shows. Please bring sheet music; an accompanist will be provided. No tracked music or a cappella singing will be allowed. Individuals of all ethnic and cultural backgrounds are encouraged to audition for all roles. No need to sign up for an audition time, just show up a little before the audition time. Please bring a headshot and resume if you have one. Auditions are only for ages 18 and up.
Avenue Q runs Oct 12 - Nov 4. Rehearsals start Sept 3rd.
