The everlasting classic account of two boys and a girl who follow Peter Pan and the invisible fairy Tinker Bell into Neverland, where children never grow old and where Captain Hook and his pirates are outwitted. Second star to the right and straight on till morning, join Sam Bass theatre as we venture into the land of magic and imagination with J.M. Barrie’s classics children’s play Peter Pan. This production brings back classical theatrical convention and uses imagination to bring to life flying children, pirates, fairies, mermaids, and Indian princesses. Join Wendy, John, and Michael Darling on a daring adventure into Neverland directed by Sam Artistic Director and All-State UIL Director Sandra Mullenax and featuring an all-star cast of seasoned professionals and members of the Sam Bass Theatre Youth Guild

Run Time: Two hours including one intermission.

It is imperative that you have read THE ORIGINAL – PETER PAN by J.M. Barrie in preparation for this audition. The play is realistic but requires size and ability to deal with large personalities of the story.

Peter Pan –(12-15) A boy who does not want to grow up, not afraid of heights and has acrobatic/gymnastic training

Wendy Darling- (10-15) The eldest of the Darling children, needs to have some dance training

Michael Darling (6-9) - Wendy's youngest brother

Nana - The family dog (will be cast from Pirates/Ensemble)

Audition Requirements: Auditions will be from Cold Reading from the script (the sides are available online at sambasstheatre.org It is imperative that you have read the sides before arriving.)

Look over the sides for the characters you would like to be considered for on the website(www.sambasstheatre.org) We Encourage you to MEMORIZE be ready to present them at auditions.

Be prepared to answer questions about the play. Again it is very important you have read it.

You must have any and all unavoidable conflicts listed on your audition sheet.
Performance Dates: December 1-23rd
Rehearsal Schedule: Required meeting/Read Through October 9, 2017 6:00pm-9:00pm. Most rehearsals are flexible with schedule. Mandatory Dates are November 27-30, 2017 and all performances with some additional rehearsals see Rehearsal Calendar Online at sambasstheatre.orgplease include a complete list of conflicts at Auditions.
Please be aware that the following rehearsals must be attended by ALL CAST MEMBERS!! If you cannot ensure this, you will not be cast for the show. Check calendars now, and make sure you have listed every conflict even if you don’t think it will happen.
