The shooting of Heffington ignited the infamous McDade Christmas Eve lynchings on December 24, 1883. 

Jeff Fitzpatrick was indicted for the murder of Deputy Sheriff Isaac “Bose” Heffington. Was Jeff Fitzpatrick really the killer? 

The evidence will be presented and you by members of the local bar association who will serve as prosecutors, defense attorneys, and judges in the presentation.

The audience will be the jury.
