From the deck of a 1492 Sailing Ship to a ledge 57 stories high, Brown introduces us to a startling array of characters. These are the stories and characters of today, the Songs For A New World. The show sits on the boundary between musical and song cycle, but it is neither; it is an abstract musical connected by a theme: "the moment of decision." Jason Robert Brown describes this funny, touching, stunningly beautiful and powerful theatrical song cycle as "it's about the moment, it's about hitting the wall and having to make a choice, to take a stand or turn around and go back".
