APO New Theatre presents Project Runaway
A staged reading, by Austin Dowling
Directed by Abby Vela

Project Runaway is a play that follows two eighteen year olds that meet during their journeys of running away. With Mallory running towards her girlfriend in Hartford, and Trevor hoping to leave his problems with his boyfriend behind, their lives quickly become intertwined as they’re forced to depend on each other to survive in this unstable state of perpetual motion. Set to the tune, and heavy beat, of songs like - Carly Rae Jepson’s Runaway with Me, BØRNS’ Electric Love, Bleacher’s Rollercoaster, and Kanye West’s Runaway and Lost in the World - Project Runaway calls into question whether running away is an act that truly separates us or unites us?
