Guys and Dolls
by Georgetown Palace Theatre

May. 15 - Jun. 22, 2014

Guys and Dolls, that quintessential New York musical, is a sure-fired bet to win hearts and souls onstage at Georgetown’s Historic Palace Theatre this spring!   On five weekends from May 16 to June 15, “the oldest, established, permanent, floating crap game in New York” will be entertaining us on the Palace stage.  Look for the Hot Box dancers, too; and the Havana nights – and all the gamblers, dolls, showgirls, and redemption you can handle!  Frank Loesser did quite a number on the music and lyrics for Guys and Dolls – consider “Luck Be A Lady Tonight,” “I’ve Never Been in Love Before,” “A Bushel and a Peck,” “I’ll Know,” and “Sit Down You’re Rocking the Boat” – based on Damon Runyon characters, with book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows.
