A hilarious backstage comedy based on three actresses who chase their dreams. The story follows Lisbette, the naïve, small town girl, Casey, the aging struggling actress, and Holly, the self-absorbed and surgically enhanced TV actress as they are cast in an ill-fated production of Anton Chekhov’s “Three Sisters” in San Antonio. The Artistic Director has decided to have seven actresses attempt to play fifteen characters, both male and female, since men get all the good parts. Anton in Show Business conveys the joys, pains, and absurdities of putting on a play, while poking fun at American culture.
