Here are a few fun facts about The Mousetrap:
It began as a radio play called Three Blind Mice, written at Queen Mary's request.
The Mousetrap opened in London’s West End in 1952 and became the longest-running play in the world. It is still running today!
Before it opened, Christie gifted the rights to the play to her grandson, Mathew, for his ninth birthday.
At the end of each performance, audiences are asked to keep the identity of the murderer a secret—a tradition that has helped preserve the mystery for generations.
