Confabulation: An Evening of Honest Lies with Erik Bosse and Laurie is a multimedia performance of spoken-word microfictions, generative soundscapes, and colorful abstract projections where the performers and the audience co-confabulate a swirling morass of experiences that never took place, and leave with memories that never happened.

Erik Bosse and Laurie Dietrich are former Jump-Start company members who now live in New Orleans. Our 2026 guest artists, they will be in residence at Jump-Start Theater performing their own work, leading a workshop and guiding the workshop participants’ show. The theme for the residency is Confabulate - to unknowingly construct memories of events that never took place.
