Annie is the musical phenomenon that has dazzled generations of fans with its show-stopping numbers, spunky spirits, and big heart. Featuring some of the most iconic songs in all of musical theater, like “Tomorrow” and “Hard-Knock Life,” this cherished story is sure to leave you smiling. It’s a joyful celebration of belonging and a timeless reminder that sunshine is still just a day away.

Leaping Lizards! Annie takes the stage this summer in a fresh contemporary staging highlighting the musical’s enduring message of hope. With iconic songs like “Tomorrow” and “Hard-Knock Life,” this beloved classic by Charles Strouse, Martin Charnin, and Thomas Meehan continues to inspire audiences of all ages with the story of the girl who believes brighter days are around the corner.

Zach Theater announces cast and creatives for the musical hit, Annie. Directed by Associate Artistic Director Cassie Abate with musical direction by Spencer Hansen and choreography by Kiira Carper. Annie features an adult and youth cast, playing June 24–August 2, 2026 at The Topfer at Zach.

“I am so excited to bring together incredible seasoned theater professionals alongside the next generation of theater artists in a space where we all get to learn from each other and work together to bring to life a story about optimism, compassion, and chosen family,” said Abate.

The title role of Annie will be shared by the talents of youth actors Layla Ramos and Charlotte Storm as the spunky and optimistic orphan.

Annie will also star Jamie Goodwin as billionaire businessman, Oliver Warbucks; Jamie Karen as the disillusioned orphanage matron, Miss Hannigan; Tiffany Solano as Grace Farrell, Yurel Echezarreta as Miss Hannigan’s scheming younger brother, Rooster Hannigan; and Sara Burke as Rooster’s egotistical gold-digging girlfriend, Lily St. Regis.

Rounding out the youth cast, Annie will be joined by other orphans at the “New York Municipal Orphanage” played by Sophia Ghangurde and Yujo Park as Duffy; Isabella Johnson and Emily Wolfman as July; Caroline Copeland and Amelia Galindo as Pepper; Leili Ahmadyar and Camille Myers as Tessie; Olivia Feuerberg and Areli Knox as Kate; and Monroe Bowcutt and Billie Grace Lit as Molly.

Completing the adult cast: Noah Claiborne Wood as Bert Healy; Bob Brandenburg as President Franklin D. Roosevelt; Ian Bethany, Maclain Dessatti, Gianna Kohl, Malia McLellan, Emily Snouffer, Grisham Locke, and Laura Jane Jones as ensemble.

In addition to direction by Cassie Abate with music direction by Spencer Hansen and choreography by Kiira Carper, the production team for Annie includes: Abbigayle Scott as assistant choreographer; Wilson Chin with tour scenic design; Susan Branch Towne as costume designer; Benjamin Gantose as lighting designer; Darby Smotherman as sound designer; additional props by Brady Flock; Anna Fugate-Downs as hair & makeup designer; Leigh’Ann Andrews as AEA stage manager; Casey Boriskie as AEA assistant stage manager; Gloria Labatut Davies as assistant stage manager; KayCi Wolf as production assistant; Victoria Salzar and Aidenne Despres as student actor supervisors; and Gabby Carney as dog supervisor.
