The Feltdown - A One-Man Puppet Crisis
by Overtime Theater
Jan. 16 - Jan. 31
Fridays-Sundays
The Feltdown is a comedy puppet show that combines music, improv comedy, and education as Jason takes the audience through his own journey into puppetry, the characters he's created through the years, lessons on building puppets, and performance tips gleaned from years of experience performing improvised puppetry. The Feltdown features more than a dozen different puppets in hilarious scenes and sketches inspired by your suggestions.
Jason VanSlycke has been performing comedy for twenty years. He trained at Coldtowne Theater and Bexar Stage. He is a contributing writer for The Hard Times. His sketch team, The Big Toe Sketch Show, has performed at Chicago's iO fest in 2024 and 2025. The Feltdown has also been workshopped across several stages in San Antonio as well as the Pack Theater and Elysian in Los Angeles.
The show will also feature Janzen Marquee, the Rock and Roll Comedian. A one-time master shredder studio axe god living in LA between Hollywood and Sunset you could always find Janzen soloing down the street. One day, after a long night of trying to teach Slash how to correctly play an arpeggio figure, Janzen stumbled into an open mic and wowed the crowd with his immaculate guitar technique woven in with Mark Twain-styled bon mot observations about the rock star experience, airplane food, and human nature. Janzen lost his wallet while visiting his rock and roll hometown, San Antonio, so he kinda lives here now until he can find it.
