The E(XMAS)IST

A campy queer Christmas parody of The Exorcist

Don't miss the holiday season’s highly anticipated Christmas-Horror mashup, The E(XMAS)IST, running this December for two weekends only at Crashbox in East Austin. In this regional premiere, playwright Vince Kelley and director CB Goodman artfully serve up the most iconic moments of the classic horror film, The Exorcist, with a heaping dose of festive shenanigans, candy canes, and an epic battle between Santa and Krampus, the Christmas demon. The E(XMAS)IST stars local comedy and stage favorites Jose Da’Hype as Krampus, Kyle Romero as Santa, Vincent Tomasino as Regan, Kelli Bland as Karl the Butler, Kat Ellison Williams as Damien Tinselbottom, and Jay Byrd as Ellen Burstyn as Chris MacNeil.

Jose Da'Hype (he/they) is a New Orleans native with a deep love for entertainment. Not only is Jose a US Army veteran, he is a comedian, actor, writer, and producer of the comedy showcase Your Favorite Cuzins hosted monthly at ColdeTowne Theater. Kyle Romero - Santa

Kyle Romero is an actor/clown from the tiny little swamp town of Orange, TX. He serves as Conservatory Director at the Austin School of Comedy at Fallout Theater. His solo show, Kyle Romero is Your Dad, recently played at Austin Sketch Fest and Denver Sketch Fest and everyone said it was really good and they are proud of him.

Vincent Tomasino - Regan

She has appeared on stages across Austin with companies like the Rude Mechanicals (Fixing Troilus and Cressida) and Tongue and Groove Theatre (The Red Balloon). As a member of the Austin collective Paper Chairs, she directed workshops, short works, and two iterations of the multimedia documentary performance Art Model Show. For film and voiceover, she is repped by Collier Talent.
