A Very Merry Children’s Scientology Pageant is the brainchild of Kyle Jarrow (writer of SpongeBob, The Musical) and Alex Timbers (Tony award-winning director of Moulin Rouge), who won an Obie Award for the 2003 NYC production. The show is a satirical look at the Church of Scientology, its founder, L. Ron Hubbard, and celebrity members like Tom Cruise and John Travolta, told through the medium of a children’s holiday show.  Think: local kids' Christmas pageant meets Scientology. Both shows will run in repertory July 25 thru August 9, 2025.

Doctuh Mistuh was founded in Austin, TX in  2009 with their popular and bloody production of EVIL DEAD, THE MUSICAL.  DMP is known for bringing Off-Broadway shows to the ATX and other cities that may never get to see these unique shows.  It has presented the regional premieres of such shows as NEVERMORE, THE IMAGINARY LIFE & MYSTERIOUS DEATH OF EDGAR ALLAN POE (B. Iden Payne Award, Best Musical), SILENCE, THE MUSICAL (BIP Award, Best Musical), HEATHERS (BIP Award, Best Musical), and BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON.  

 

In 2017, DMP moved its operations to New Orleans and produced under the name The Storyville Collective, winning critical and popular acclaim for productions of REEFER MADNESS, THE LARAMIE PROJECT, and HAND TO GOD (Big Easy Award, Best Play). 

 

DMP returned to Austin in the summer of 2023 with the regional premiere of LIZZIE: THE MUSICAL, for which it won 5 B. Iden Payne Awards including Outstanding Musical. https://doctuhmistuh.org
