The Hooded Crow
by ScriptWorks

Mar. 31

The Hooded Crow is a contemporary family drama that explores identity and intergenerational trauma through a supernatural lens. When restless teenager, Birdy, notices a scarred hooded crow lingering outside her window for days, she knows something isn’t right. Then the nightmares begin—strange, intense, and inescapable. As her sleep unravels, tensions with her mother, Charlotte, escalate as Birdy’s inner demons begin to manifest and distort her reality.

Join us for the first developmental reading of The Hooded Crow, a new play by Kleo James Ryan. Developed with support from ScriptWorks’ Revision Resource Grant, this reading offers an early look at a new work in progress.

Directed by Lacey Cannon Gonzales, the reading will feature performances by Kathleen Fletcher, Carl Gonzales, Lucky Cantu, and Devin Finn.

This event is presented with the support of ScriptWorks, an organization dedicated to fostering the development of new plays. More information about ScriptWorks can be found at www.scriptworks.org
