Fruitcakes
by Unity Theatre
Dec. 05 - Dec. 22
Thursdays-Sundays
Unity Theatre invites you to step into a quirky world of holiday cheer with Fruitcakes, the second show in Unity Theatre’s 30th Birthday Season! From December 5 through December 22, 2024, the Main Stage will be decked out with dozens of Christmas trees, 10,000 twinkling lights, and enough holiday spirit to warm even the frostiest winter night.
Written by Julian Wiles and directed by Jimmy Phillips, Fruitcakes serves up the perfect blend of heartfelt moments and hilarious holiday hijinks. In this delightful comedy, a runaway kid named Jamie finds himself stranded in a small southern town, where the residents seem, well… "nuttier than fruitcakes." From two eccentric spinsters to a Christmas hog named Buster, a lost cat named Tutti Frutti, and a chicken pox epidemic thrown into the mix, Jamie soon realizes that this offbeat little town has a heart as big as its holiday decorations.
This holiday season, grab your eggnog and make your way to Unity Theatre for Fruitcakes—a side-splitting, heartwarming comedy that will leave you laughing and filled with holiday spirit.
