ADVENTURE STORIES is a series of vignettes in dance, music and spoken word, dedicated to the risks, sorrows and fruits of taking a chance.

Curiosity is the greatest gift one can have in life. It can take you across the world to build new ways of life and friendships; it can also take you on an inward journey towards comprehending your own gifts and limitations. Our hearts burst with promise at the first step. If we imagined the pitfalls we would have run into, we might not have tried in the first place. We trust in the universe, improvise, get our hearts broken, fail, and falter. But we start over again... and in doing so, we come to understand that Life, in all its frailty and glory, travels with us.

The project features Tamara Adira, José Manuel Tudela, Celia Sellers, Roberto Paolo Riggio, and special guests from Spain.

Arte y Pasión, a 501c3 organization, is a company known for pushing the boundaries of flamenco and Spanish dance, whose mission is to share, promote and develop the authentic art of flamenco as a vehicle of healing and restoration, and the promotion of human rights and equality. The company is one of the most contemporary flamenco companies in the United States and engages with acclaimed flamenco artists via mentorship and co-performance, exploring artistic evolution and specific subject matter to elevate the purity of flamenco to a singular, sacred and unforgettable moment.

The event is a WeFlamenco Fest San Antonio event and is made possible in part by the Texas Commission on the Arts.
