When disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won't be found: a convent! Disguised as a nun, she has a bit of a time fitting into their more "conservative" lifestyle and the uptight Mother Superior. Deloris eventually focuses her energy on the choir, and using her voice and disco moves, she breathes new life into the church and community. All of the attention blows her cover, but this time when the bad guys come after her, she’s got her sisters behind her.

Sister Act is filled with powerful music, exciting dancing and a truly moving story, and we can’t think of a better way to kick off our 35th season. 

Sister Act is based on the hit 1992 Whoopi Goldberg film that has audiences still singing and dancing along, including us. It features original music by Tony and Oscar winner, Alan Menken (writer of Newsies, Beauty and the Beast, Little Shop, and so many others). This uplifting musical was nominated for five Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
