by whatsinthemirror?

“The eyes are not used for knowing God…therefore a veil is whatever keeping people from knowing God or experiencing His power and presence.”
Bedside tells the story of Trayvon and Marlon, a black queer couple navigating their world compounded by the current epidemic of HIV in the South. Seeking guidance from different faiths, their love of each other is ultimately the chosen path as Marlon is diagnosed with a terminal condition. From food to laughter, this play reveals the truths around one’s spiritual journey and one’s own reality.
This workshop production is a joint project of Wake Forest University School of Divinity and WhatsintheMirror’s Art Heals Project.
