Now and Then

Fridays-Sundays

Sometimes what happens after last call might change your life.

One night in 1981, just as Jamie is closing the bar where he works, a desperate last-minute customer offers him and his girlfriend Abby two thousand dollars to sit and have a drink with him. Who wouldn't take it? As the trio swaps stories and Jamie considers decisions they face, it begins to dawn that this older man is unusually invested in their choices... and the reason he gives them is completely unbelievable. When a very displeased second stranger arrives, the unbelievable begins to seem like the truth.

Now and Then is a heartfelt romantic comedy about time travel, the costs of the choices we make, and the people who make them with us. If you enjoyed Sean Grennan’s Making God Laugh, you’ll love Now and Then.

The cast includes Brad Gilbert and Meg Ellisor in the roles of the young couple "Jamie" and "Abbie."  Brad was recently seen in the P2K production of Little Shop of Horrors and Meg played the lead in last summer’s “Shakespeare In The Park” production of The Two Gentlemen of Verona.

They will be joined on stage by P2K veteran Serenity Lewis-Lockhart, last seen in Women in Jeopardy, and theater veteran but P2K newcomer Jason Rittimann. This talented group is led by Director R Sheldon Boyce, the director of The Glitter Girls and Southern Fried Funeral. He is assisted by stage manager Sarah Brooks and assistant stage manager Emery Dorman.

We’re very excited to be among the first theaters in the country to present Now and Then. We had a great time with Sean’s play Making God Laugh a few years ago, and we think our audiences will love his latest play just as much.
