The Judgment
by The Great Commission Theatre Company
Oct. 16 - Oct. 17, 2021
Saturday-Sunday
How much do we understand about God's irrepressible acts of mercy and love for all of the Creation? Can we overcome guilt and welcome the compassionate mercy of God? How much of our own defiance disables us from forgiving...even ourselves?
The Judgment was written by University of Incarnate Word professor Dr. Joseph DeLeon and selected for inclusion in the 2021 UIW Office of Research and Graduate Studies Virtual Research Week Symposium. The dramatic play illustrates the human quest for completeness and the infinite mercy of God. The story is portrayed as an artistic representation of the dialogue that takes place between the Body and the Soul during the journey between the First Judgment and Final Resolution immediately after the death of a person.
A preview of the script can be found on our website at www.greatcommissiontheatre.org
