A Doll's House, Part 2
by Hyde Park Theatre
Feb. 28 - Mar. 30, 2019
Thursdays-Saturdays
In 1879, Henrik Ibsen wrote one of the most controversial plays of all time: A Doll's House, in which Nora walks out on her husband and children with a feminist door slam that reverberated worldwide for decades.
Fast forward to the 21st century: in A Doll's House, Part 2, the hot young playwright Lucas Hnath--author of The Christians, one of the most popular plays HPT has ever produced--has followed up with a highly modern play in which Nora must return fifteen years after her dramatic exit to face what she left behind in this fierce and funny new play.
A Doll's House, Part 2 is directed by Ken Webster, who is celebrating his 40th year in Austin theatre, and features Katherine Catmull, Tom Green, Sarah Chong Harmer, and Cyndi Williams.
This project is supported in part by the Cultural Arts Division of the City of Austin Economic Development Department, by a grant from the Texas Commission on the Arts, and by an award from The National Endowment for the Arts. Art Works.
