A Collection of Stories and Characters about Equality Created by Alex Garza

October 12th, 2018 marked 20 years since the passing of Matthew Shepard in Laramie, Wyoming.  In this solo performance, writer and actor Alex Garza pays tribute to Shepard’s memory and pays tribute to the fight for equality in our country.

Alex Garza presents a series of stories and characters that reflect the gay experience, the joy and the struggle, the happiness and the sadness. Through comic and tragic monologue, he introduces reflections of his own life as well the points-of-view of others. What is it like to come out to your father under a shade tree in the backyard?  What are the wacky and tragic challenges of trying to find love?  How does one deal with the fear of being different everyday of their life?  The show is about equality and embracing our differences.  Join Alex Garza in this rainbow celebration.
