Spectrum Theatre Company, Austin’s only African-American theatre company, will present the Austin premiere of a reading of two short plays, Shadow Boxer, by Glenn Towery, and Poof! By Lynn Nottage, on Saturday, September 15, at 2:00 p.m. at the Vortex Theatre, 2307 Manor Road. Following the reading the audience is invited to a short discussion with actors and director.
Shadow Boxer and Poof! are funded by the City of Austin and presented in coordination with the Vortex Theatre. Note: The plays are for mature audiences.

Admission is pay as you wish, and no advance reservations are required. A $10 donation is suggested at the door, but no one will be turned away; all are welcome.
Parking is free but limited in the Vortex parking lot.
