5 Women of Color
by JW Hill Productions, LLC

Jul. 29 - Jul. 30, 2017
Saturday-Sunday

Look at her, driving that Lexus, dressed to the 9s! She's the executive director of that non-profit organization that finds financing for new homebuyers. Oh, I see my daughter's English teacher on her way into school. My boss just hired the new CPA across the street. Dianne is on her way to the health clinic and there's the lady from church, the one that dresses so nice...

Don't be fooled by the tabloid and media coverage of abused women-the black eyes, broken arms and busted lips! That's not where it starts! It has nothing to do with clothes, money or education.

An abused woman may not have ever been hit. She could look...just...like...you!

(via Eventbrite)

Featuring Jeanette Hill, Anika Adams, Andrea Bridgeman, Olyvia Green, Denise Garza Wasner, Te'Juana Johnson, Jacquelyn Edwards, Joelle Cruz, Shametra McGregor and Lisa Ebanks Hampton.

This event is supported in part by the Cultural Arts Division of the City of Austin and by Austin Creative Alliance

Award-winning playwright J W Hill’s new play exposes stories of domestic violence which are too often meticulously concealed within communities of color.
